 Njaramba Affidavit against Colonialists

BY BOB GACHINGIRI

A sworn affidavit by the chairman of the Mega Mashujaa Trust Mr. Charter Njaramba Munuhe is bound to add weight on a case where world leaders have been sued over alleged historical injustices.
Mr. Njaramba is for the opinion that the 2010 constitution which pledges to honour and recognize Mau Mau freedom fighters is not being followed.
The 84 point affidavit signed on October this year demands that among other salient facts, the 1961 Vienna Austria Convention on immunity of foreigners, be declared null and void.
The Chairman says that the 1961 Vienna document where Kenya was still under the British and therefore it was meant to ‘protect the colonialists and other ‘merchants of death’.
Mr. Jaramba is upbeat and believes that over 1.5 million victims of the Mau Mau struggle will be recognized and repatriated. He has always waged a war on the British considering the fact that he lost family members during the Emergency and clamor for independence.
The case at Milimani High Court which is up for mention on November 7 this year is accusing US presidential hopefuls Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton among other leaders for perpetrating historical injustices.
The suit claims that the accused have over the years belittled the poor and hopeless and supported the rich.
In the affidavit, Mr. Njaramba demands that the land taken from Africans be returned or current market prices be applied to compensate the original owners.
